I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
